Why am I seeing those who are rushing into marriage and yet in truth they don't desire it half as much as others? And now you're getting married...I hope you're truly happy and that you'll learn to stop living to satify others...but then again that's wishful thinking.

Interesting comment. I have seen it many times when people have as you said rushed in to marriage when they were not ready which has caused major stress on the relationship. A lot of the time the solution is to have kids "because that will fix everything" and that just makes it worse.
How true is this line "stop living to satisfy others" because I can relate to that. I am 31 born and raised in Aus but have a Greek background so I have a very close family. I wish I had a dollar for every time in the past 5 years I have been asked when am I getting married because MY PARENTS are getting on in years and they would love to have grand kids!!!
And of course there are the times when my aunty has invited a friend that coincidently has daughters to a family gathering and it is awkward for all involved!!!

Aussie - I'm glad you can relate coz I was more than beginning to think I was trapped in my own world of unacceptable by social standards ideas.....well with that greek background and Aussie upbringing I'm surprised to see ur Aunt being, well as "arranged marriage" focus as us over here lol but I guess we call be alll the same... :)
I'm guessing you don't believe as many men do over here and other parts of the this planet that love comes AFTER marriage? *sigh*

Unfortunately despite living in Aus my Aunt still thinks she is in Greece hence anyone over the age of 25 should be married with kids already and if they are not then she has the right to change that. :O
You got it in one with the Love bit hopefully it is not too late to find that someone.
P.S. As for the marriage if I am still single at 40 I will look you up. :P
