Do we really live and learn?

Now, I'm not blogging about myself in this post...I swear LOL
I just want to blog, so let me blog! :)

I dedicate this to someone, you know who you are.

It's easier to keep a friendship strong and happy for years on end
whereas a relationship would go sour in just a matter of no time.
Why is it that? Is there something wrong with them or us?
Or both. We hardly say both because both sexes hate to admit they
have their shortcomings. But then we come back to why?
In relationships more emotions and more expectations are involved.
We forgive more from friends when they're busy to get back to us,
but the same cannot be said about our special someone.
We both have high expectations. We need to stop. I'd say most of the time they
are unrealistic ones. Maybe it's because of the movies but
whatever the case is we need to learn to cut them
more slack and they should do the same alongwith respect.
Getting to know how to do that is difficult.Relationships are fragile.
Women tend to comprimise more, men are required to give more
whether its financially or love and attention. While comprimising too
much can make you lose yourself to the point where you don't recognize
yourself. The key is to draw lines. Don't go too far. The object shouldn't be
to try and change each other, that might even be temporary for they
will be true to themselves unless they want to change from within,
as it's natural.

Who are we to go beyound nature?

I luv this post....it brings a lot to the plate...its so true tht our friendship expectations r less than in a relationship
I guess both ends hav to work together not against each other which becomes the case in most relationships
I do blame the movies...they make the world 2 b a happy fairy land....no1 is happy all the time coz no1 is perfect
Women do compromise more but lines lines lines...red ones r how u dnt lose urself

Luv ur insight manx....u rock and may allah always keep u happy
Luv u babes

I totally agree! And I am talking from experience :(

the one whose it's about said...

in this post u wanted 2 convey hidden messages between the lines to that someone and in the process u managed to crush that person's feelings.

truthfully i had to read that more than once to get to your point. i agree that yes we have more expectations when it comes to relationships but only because it reflects us and we cant admit our shortcomings most of the time (the nutshell version) as for friendship being unique or flawed is seen as well thats just how she / he is we accept simply accept it.

as for the rest im too sleepy to comment on that :P

oh as for the "someone" take comfort that even emotional wounds do heal even if it feels like its taking forever and i dont mean to sound harsh but telling someone to move on is not meant to crush anyone its trying to save u extra heartache even though saying this is pointless cuz its not about anyone so move on!!! (note: hence the beginning of the post)

I wondered a lot about that. But could never come to an answer. "While comprimising too
much can make you lose yourself to the point where you don't recognize
yourself."

Thanks for this post. It's really, ummm, really accurate.

Really Fadiosis? I was beginning to wonder whether it was just me who was experiencing that...

I can make up a statistic that 1 in every 5 persons have experienced the "losing one's identity because of the other's presence" condition!!!
:p
